The “AI for Government Workshop” is an initiative of the Zambia Evidence Lab (ZEL). The workshop aims to empower policymakers with the skills and knowledge necessary to integrate AI into the policymaking process. Recognising the growing importance of AI-based tools, the workshop is designed to introduce key concepts and applied use-cases.
The primary objectives of the workshop are to introduce participants to foundational concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), familiarise them with available tools, and showcase practical applications through real-world use cases from Zambia and beyond. By providing a non-technical and accessible framework, the workshop seeks to demystify the role of AI in supporting government operations.
