IGC Cities that Work on global value chains and regional innovation

As part of webinar series organised by the Regional Studies Association (RSA), IGC’s Oliver Harman and other panellists discuss how cities and regions can build, embed and reshape global value chains (GVCs) to their enhancement and technological upgrading. The session aims to contribute to wider discussions on regional innovation and smart specialisation strategies and in particular on the role regional governments can play in leading the co-creation and capture of value opportunities. Global connectivity and GVCs take centre stage in the post 2020 EU Cohesion Policy and are more important than ever for recovery after the pandemic.
