A visual to show the speakers contributing to the webinar
Open to all, this Lahore Policy Exchange dialogue brings together policymakers, academics, and practitioners, to discuss how Pakistan is navigating a rapidly changing and increasingly fragmented global order. As geopolitical tensions intensify and regional dynamics shift, the session invites participants to reflect on the implications for Pakistan’s foreign policy, security, and development trajectory in an uncertain international environment. The webinar is held online to ensure wider accessibility while conserving fuel.
The discussion explores key questions around evolving norms of conflict and escalation, particularly in light of recent Pakistan–India tensions, as well as Pakistan’s emerging role as a diplomatic intermediary in broader regional crises. It also examines how ongoing instability along the Afghan border and internal security challenges intersect with Pakistan’s external engagements, shaping its strategic choices and policy priorities.
Featuring Hina Rabbani Khar, Paul Staniland, and moderated by Nasim Zehra, the session provides insights into how Pakistan can safeguard its national interests while maintaining development resilience. Participants also have the opportunity to engage with the speakers during an interactive Q&A session.
