About
The annual Firms, Trade, and Development (FTD) Conference brings together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to discuss how firms and international trade drive growth in developing economies. The International Growth Centre has been co-hosting this conference in collaboration with the Yale Economic Growth Center since 2023, and with Stanford King Center on Global Development and Columbia Center for Development Economics and Policy previously.
Sessions combine academic papers with policy roundtables on firm dynamics, market integration, management and technology adoption, competition and regulation, and trade policy. The goal is to transform rigorous discussions into actionable solutions that enhance firm performance, expand opportunities, and support inclusive and sustainable development.
