Paul Collier wins British Academy President’s Medal

We’re delighted to announce that IGC Director Professor Sir Paul Collier has been awarded the 2014 President’s Medal by the British Academy for “his pioneering contribution in bringing ideas from research in to policy within the field of African economics.”

The President’s Medals are awarded annually, and recognise service to the cause of the humanities and social sciences.

The promotion of evidence based research and policy change in developing economies is at the heart of Prof Collier’s work, so this new recognition comes as further proof of the outstanding expertise and commitment of the IGC to generating high quality research and policy advice on key growth challenges.
