Dr. Abu S. Shonchoy is a Professor of Economics at Florida International University, USA, and an affiliated professor at MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, J-PAL. Originally from Bangladesh, he is an applied economist whose research focuses on development and labor economics, with particular emphasis on poverty, human capital, financial inclusion, migration, education, health, climate vulnerability, and social protection in low- and middle-income countries.
