Adam Szeidl is Professor of Economics at Central European University in Vienna, Austria. His research interests are in development economics, political economy, and the economics of networks. Much of his recent research uses RCTs to study enterprise growth in the development context, with an emphasis on accounting for network and equilibrium effects. Adam is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the International Economic Association, and the European Economic Association, a Research Fellow of CEPR, and a past editor of the Review of Economic Studies. Before joining Central European University in 2011, Adam was Associate and Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2004.
