Amy Asamoah is a PhD student in Development Economics at the University of Ghana and a former senior executive in Ghana’s financial sector, with over 14 years of leadership experience at Old Mutual Pension Trust and UMB-IHL. Her research focuses on innovative financing mechanisms for sustainable development, particularly in mobilising domestic institutional capital for climate resilience and growth. 

As an IGC Fellow, she is developing a synthesis of IGC research on Ghana’s electricity sector to inform policies that address system losses, tariff structures, and financial sustainability.
