Alisha Meghani is currently pursuing an MSc in International Affairs Research at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a BA in Politics and Journalism from New York University. At the International Growth Centre, she serves as a Publications Assistant.
Prior to joining the IGC, Alisha held roles at the White House in the Office of Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic National Committee, the Biden for President campaign, and the Kamala Harris for President campaign. She has also worked in research at the Center for Social Media and Politics, where she assisted with research focused on the intersection of social media, public opinion, and democratic engagement.
Her research interests lie in U.S. foreign policy in South Asia, with a particular focus on right-wing leadership and minority rights. She has been published for her research on violence against women in Pakistan, and continues to explore the South Asia region as part of her graduate work at LSE.
