Andrew Guinn is a doctoral student in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he studies economic development. He holds a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Andrew has been a member of the CGGC team since 2012, during which time he has conducted research on manufacturing, agricultural and utilities value chains in North America, South America, Africa and the Middle East. His research interests include the connections between global economic processes and local labor markets, and his current work focuses heavily on economic and social development in Brazil.
