Andy is an environmental and industrial organisation economist whose research focuses on the economics of environmental regulation. His work explores firm behaviour under regulatory uncertainty and seeks to quantify the economic impacts of climate change.
He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a faculty affiliate at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and a member of the Climate Impact Lab. Andy completed his doctoral studies at UC Berkeley’s Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, where he was a fellow in the Global Policy Lab and an NSF Data Sciences for the 21st Century fellow. He also held a postdoctoral position at the Energy Policy Institute and the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. He holds a Master’s in Public Policy from UC Berkeley and a BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University.
