Ariel is an Assistant Professor at the University California, Santa Cruz in the Department of Economics. After working as a research associate for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and MIT’s Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab, she received her PhD in economics at MIT. She has had many opportunities to live and work in India and East Africa. Her research interests center around design for behavior change and social service delivery in developing countries.
