Ashikur Rahman

Dr Ashikur Rahman is a Senior Economist at PRI, the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh. He is also the Member Secretary of the Bangladesh Economists’ Forum, a leading association of eminent professional and academic economists from Bangladesh. Prior to this, he completed his PhD in Government (Political Economy) at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Dr Rahman also has an MPA in Public and Economic Policy and a BSc in Economics (Hons) from the LSE. He has been a consultant for a number of government bodies and other organisations, including the Planning Commission of Bangladesh, World Bank, UNDP, DFID and Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
