Assan Ng’ombe is the Resilience Officer for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). He is an international development expert with specialization in climate change, poverty reduction, livelihoods development and protection, and environmental management. In AGRA he is the technical lead on the integration of resilience in agriculture development in Africa. His key result areas are focused on the development and management of programmes on regenerative agriculture, sustainable land management in agriculture landscapes, agriculture and water nexus projects, strategy and policy development and advice. He further serves as the resident expert on environmental and social risk management in AGRA. Prior to joining AGRA, he worked with national and international development stakeholders in capacity building, programme and project development and implementation, policy development and advice. Assan holds a multi-disciplinary Master’s Degree in International Development from the University of Bradford in the UK.
