Chris Heitzig is a contributing researcher at the IGC and a project manager and senior research analyst with the Brookings Institution focusing on international finance and labour markets. He joined Brookings in 2020 after two years at the World Bank, where he designed and conducted impact evaluations of public welfare programs in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, the Central African Republic, and Zambia. He has lived and worked on four continents, and has consulted for the United Nations, ActionAid, Stanford University, and MarketShare Associates. He holds an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford and a BA in economics from Saint John’s University.
