Claudio Acioly Jr

Claudio Acioly Jr is an architect, urban planner and development practitioner with nearly 40 years of experience in more than 30 countries. He authored UN-Habitat’s Practical Guide for Conducting Housing Profile and UN-Habitat’s strategy on Street-led Citywide Slum Upgrading.

Between 2012 and 2020, he was the head of Training and Capacity Building at the UN-Habitat. Before that, between 2008 and 2012, he led the Housing Policy and Slum Upgrading unit at the UN-Habitat and coordinated the United Nations Housing Rights Programme.
