Clément Imbert is Professor of Economics in Sciences Po Paris. He received a PhD from the Paris School of Economics in 2012 and was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College, before joining the University of Warwick in 2015, which he left as Full Professor in 2023. His areas of research are development economics, environment economics, labor economics and public economics. His current projects focus on internal migration in Brazil, China, and India, as well as deforestation in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has also worked on randomized experiments to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of social programs and tax compliance in Belgium, Ethiopia, France and India. He is an affiliate of BREAD, CEPR, EUDN, and JPAL.
