Daniel Santín is Associate Professor of Public Economics at Complutense University of Madrid. His main research is on impact evaluation, efficiency, and productivity analysis. In 2003, he was awarded the Second Prize in Educational Research for his Doctoral Dissertation by the Spanish Ministry of Education. In 2012, his work “Evaluation of public policies by measuring efficiency: An application to the Uruguayan educational system” was awarded as the best M&E for Inclusive Public Policies experience presented at the VIII Conference of the Monitoring & Evaluation Network of Latin America and the Caribbean. He has consultancy and training experience in public policy evaluation for the governments of Peru, Paraguay, and Spain. His current research focuses on the evaluation of different public programs for improving primary education in Spain.
