Egas is a Senior Country Economist at the IGC in Mozambique. Before joining the IGC, he worked as an Economist and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the Mozambican Debt Group (NGO). He also worked as a Lecturer in Maputo University (UniMaputo) and as a Researcher and Lecturer in Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique (ISCTEM). Egas holds a MSc in Business Management and a Bachelor in Economics from the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), and his research interests include firms, trade, and productivity, state and economic governance and agricultural development.
