Eyayu Tesfaye Mulugeta is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Addis Ababa University with expertise in applied economic research, industrial policy, trade, and development. His research focuses on industrial transformation, firm productivity, labor demand, and macroeconomic policy in Ethiopia and Sub-Saharan Africa. As an IGC Fellow, he studies how supply chain linkages and reliance on imported inputs affect Ethiopia’s industrial transformation, highlighting the need to strengthen domestic input systems and value chain integration.
