Farah Said is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences and Associate Director at the Mahbub ul Haq Research Centre. Her research focuses on development, behavioral, and gender economics, particularly in the areas of financial inclusion, labor markets, and enterprise development in low-income settings. She uses experimental and quasi-experimental methods to examine the constraints faced by women and low-income households, especially in Pakistan.
Farah has published in leading development economics journals, including the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, World Development, and Economic Development and Cultural Change. She is also an Associate Fellow at the Institute of Development and Economic Alternatives and has held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Göttingen. Farah holds a PhD in Economics from the Lahore School of Economics and an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Oxford.
