Foday Daboh is a Research Economist focusing on political economy, public finance, and macroeconomic policy in Sierra Leone. His IGC research applies the Almost Ideal Demand System (AIDS) model to estimate consumer demand for imported and local rice, providing the first detailed evidence on how price shifts affect consumption across income groups. By integrating advanced demand modelling with food security analysis, his work provides policymakers with practical tools to design tariff and trade policies that balance fiscal sustainability with social protection.
