Frederick Owusu-Nimo

Frederick Owusu-Nimo received a Bsc (2004) in civil engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. He undertook his undergraduate independent study on Water Quality in Buruli and Non-Buruli Ulcer Communities. He also conducted research work on Environmental and Safety practices for AfriCap Microfinance Fund when he was serving as an assistant lecturer at KNUST, Ghana. He worked for Fas Consult, an engineering consulting firm, where he undertook feasibility studies, design and construction supervision of borehole drilling, water supply schemes and irrigation systems. He is currently pursuing a PhD program at the Civil Engineering Department of Duke University and specializing in applied geophysics. His research interests include the use of geophysical methods in engineering, exploration and environmental applications. He is a member of EEGS, AGU, SEG and NABGG.
