Ghadeer is a Country Economist for IGC Jordan. Prior to joining IGC, Ghadeer worked as an Economist at the IMF’s Resident Representative Office for Iraq and Yemen. She started her career in EdTech and FinTech startups in Jordan.
She then joined the Office of His Majesty King Abdullah II as a researcher and policy analyst in the Economic Directorate. She was seconded as an Advisor to the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Minister of Finance, where she worked on a variety of analytical projects such as customs policy, energy policy, and public debt and acted as a focal point to several partners including the IMF and the World Bank.
Ghadeer is a MEPI-Tomorrow’s Leaders alumna and holds bachelor’s in Business Administration/Finance and Master’s in Finance from the American University of Beirut as well as a MSc Economics from the University of Edinburgh.
