Harry Mayne is an AI researcher at the IGC, focused on deploying state-of-the-art technology to assist policymaking. He is currently the AI Consultant in the Zambia Evidence Lab, where his work includes improving survey data accuracy and developing novel techniques to enhance tax revenue.
Alongside his work at the IGC, Harry is completing a PhD in Deep Learning at the University of Oxford. He specialises in explainability and interpretability techniques for large language models, motivated by the challenge of mitigating the risks of advanced AI. His work has been featured at leading AI conferences worldwide. Prior to his PhD, Harry completed an MSc in Data Science from the University of Oxford and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
