Ivan Manhique is a Research and Policy Officer at IGC Mozambique. He previously worked as a Research Associate based in Mozambique for the International Development Department at the London School of Economics (LSE), focusing on Taxation-related projects in collaboration with the IGC Mozambique country team and the Government of Mozambique.
Ivan holds an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM). Before joining LSE, he served as a Data Analyst at the Institute for Social and Economic Studies (IESE).
With extensive experience in development economics research and social data analysis, Ivan has worked on research projects at renowned institutions such as the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan and UNU-WIDER. His expertise spans areas such as labour economics, applied econometrics, and poverty analysis. Some of Ivan’s works have been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of International Development and the Journal of African Economies.
