James Robinson is a University Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy and the Department of Political Science at the University of Chicago and co-winner of the 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics. His research focuses on the comparative political economy of development and he has conducted research in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sierra Leone.
