Prior to the IGC Janine was part of the Monitoring and Evaluation team of the Ideas for Peace Foundation in Colombia working on programmes related to peacebuilding, reconciliation and local economic development in various municipalities affected by the war. Janine also worked for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) evaluating a public policy in Colombia and for the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) building the most complete database on the armed conflict in the same country. Janine completed her MSc in Conflict Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science while contributing with research to the United Nations Business and Human Security Initiative in collaboration with LSE IDEAS. She also holds a BSc in Government and International Relations from the Externado University of Colombia.
