Jennifer Mascarenhas

Jennifer Mascarenhas holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Auditing from the Higher Institute of Transport and Communications (ISUTC), Mozambique. Her academic background focuses on financial economics, sovereign debt crises, corporate governance, and early warning systems for economic and financial crises.

She currently works in Compliance and Fraud Prevention at Banco Comercial Português, S.A. and has professional experience in internal audit, internal controls, accounting, and quality management. Her research interests include sovereign debt sustainability, financial stability, financial markets, corporate governance, and economic development in African countries. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has developed expertise in data analysis, auditing, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
