Joevas Asare is a former Policy Economist at the IGC London Hub with a focus on energy access and fragility. Joevas is currently the Managing Director of ARK Group International, with a focus on building mechanisms to enable investment into small growing businesses in Africa.
Prior to joining IGC, Joevas worked at Coffey International as a Manager in the Economic Growth Practice. He is a former ODI Fellow, serving as an Economic Advisor to Zanzibar’s Ministry of Finance and Planning and Somaliland’s Ministry of National Planning and Development, covering a broad range of resource mobilisation and national planning priorities. Joevas has also served at The Commonwealth and African Development Bank.
Joevas holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford.
