Jonathan Robinson is a Professor of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research is primarily focused on agricultural households in sub-Saharan Africa, and currently includes ongoing work in Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia. Recent work has investigated the role of market access for farmers in Tanzania and Malawi, and an intervention to connect producers to maize processors in Rwanda. He is involved in an ongoing evaluation to develop a seed system for cassava in Rwanda by registering agricultural cooperatives as certified producers.
