Dr. Kamal Bhattacharya is Vice Rector for Research & Transfer and a professor of computer science at IU International University of Applied Sciences, and sits on the World Education Services (WES)' Board of Trustees. 

He was formerly World Chief Innovation Officer at Safaricom, IGC Kenya Country Director and CEO, iHub, Nairobi. Previously, he was the inaugural director and VP of IBM Research - Africa. Kamal is a computer scientist by profession and received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Goettingen University in Germany.
