Dr. Kamal Bhattacharya is Chief Innovation Officer at Safaricom. He was formerly IGC Kenya Country Director and CEO, iHub, Nairobi. Previously, he was the inaugural director and VP of IBM Research - Africa. Kamal is a computer scientist by profession and received his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the Goettingen University in Germany.
