Keith Palmer is a Senior Research Fellow at the International Growth Centre, based at the London School of Economics in London. He provides support to the IGC Firms Initiative, the IGC State Fragilities Initiative and the IGC work on sustainability. He is founder and current Chair of AgDevCo, an agricultural development and investment company active in ten countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He has a strong background in applied development economics, corporate finance and infrastructure and agriculture investment in Africa and Asia. He has worked in senior positions in Papua New Guinea and Tanzania, worked for the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department and the World Bank Energy Department and was Global Head of Energy, Mining and Utilities at N M Rothschild & Sons. He was co-founder and Chair of Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund, a non-executive  director of GuarantCo, a local currency debt guarantee facility active in Africa and Asia and founder and Chair of InfraCo, an infrastructure development vehicle active in Africa and Asia. He was also Honorary Professor at the University of Dundee Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy.
