Laura Merrill

Laura is senior researcher and operations manager for IISD's Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI). She has expertise in energy, subsidies, climate change, ecosystem services and trade. Her work, as part of the Global Subsidies Initiative, is focused on energy subsidies, their social and environmental impacts and management. She also works on subsidies within international agreements and indicators. Laura leads the Bangladesh country programme and subsidy emissions modelling work.
