Born in a hilly small town Jhafar around 13 Kilometer from Abbottabad in1940.Passed primary school from Sarbhana, a nearby village. The high school education was had in the No 1 Government High school Abbottabad . Passed M.A Economics with distinction from the Peshawar university. Earned a Ford Foundation fellowship to proceed to Cornell USA for Ph.D in Economics in 1975, and the mission was accomplished in 1978.
Broadly trained in theoretical and applied economics with emphasis on labour economics, micro-economic theory and development economics.
