Maia is a Policy Economist for the Climate and Growth Initiative at the International Growth Centre. The initiative aims to promote sustainable growth in developing countries through innovative research on climate change, energy markets and environmental policy. Before joining the IGC, Maia worked as a consultant at Oxford Policy Management on issues relating to poverty and social protection, and as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia. She holds an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and International Relations from the Australian National University.
