Marco Bonomo is professor of economics at Insper. He holds a PhD degree in economics from Princeton University, and MA and BA in economics from PUC-Rio. His main research interests are in macroeconomics, finance, and the Brazilian economy. Price setting, the role of inflation and fiscal expectations on macro effects, and credit markets are among his recent researched topics. His work has appeared in several academic journals such as Review of Financial Studies, AEJ: Macroeconomics, Journal of Monetary Economics, Economic Journal, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking and Journal of Development Economics. He has also done research for government and multilateral organizations, such as the Ministry of Finance of Brazil, IDB, IMF, and the World Bank. He is currently a member of Brazilian Economic Cycle Dating Committee (CODACE, IBRE-FGV). Previously, he has been a faculty member of EPGE-FGV and PUC-Rio.
