Miguel Urquiola is an Associate Professor of Economics and International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research focuses on Education, covering areas such as school choice and the effects of educational inputs. Prior to moving to Columbia, he worked at Cornell, the World Bank, the Bolivian government, and the Bolivian Catholic University. He received a B.A. from Swarthmore College, and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
