Dr. Mohammad Al-Masaeid is an applied economist from Jordan with a PhD in Economics from Flinders University, Australia. His research examines how household decisions, gender dynamics, and economic policy interact to influence development outcomes in the MENA region. He has published in Applied Economics, Health Education, and the Journal of Economic Studies. Mohammad’s current IGC-supported study uses panel labour force data to analyse differences in wage returns between the public and private sectors in Jordan, exploring how experience, gender, and education shape mobility and pay dynamics. His findings aim to inform fairer pay policies and incentives for human-capital development.
