Namrata Saraogi is an economist with 10 years of experience in education, social protection, and more broadly, human development. She is currently working as a Social Policy Specialist at UNICEF in New York focusing on child poverty, social protection, public finance, and local governance issues. Previously, she was leading UNICEF India’s work on COVID-19 response, SDGs monitoring, and aspirational districts programme, among others. Namrata has also worked with the World Bank Group in Washington DC managing a range of research and operational projects in education across East Asia and Pacific, Africa, Middle East, and South Asia.

Namrata holds an M.Sc. in Economics from University College London (UCL) and MPA in International Development from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
