Dr Mori holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an MBA from the University of Dar es Salaam, and a PhD in International Management from the University of Agder in Norway. She has several years of experience in teaching, researching and consulting in the areas of microfinance, entrepreneurship and small business development. She has attended a number of competency-based courses and international conferences on microfinance, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, customer care, business planning, consultancy skills, adult training and project formulation, etc. Dr Mori has also participated in and managed training and consulting assignments for Business Environment Strengthening for Tanzania (BEST), Ministry of Industry and Trade, Business Environment Strengthening for Tanzania - Advocacy Component (BEST–AC), Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB), International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), Research on Poverty Alleviation (REPOA) and Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). Her PhD thesis is on “The influence of Boards and Stakeholders in Corporate governance of Microfinance Institutions: Evidence from East Africa”.
