Nicholas Kilimani (PhD) is former Consultant Economist at the World Bank. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Policy & Development Economics, School of Economics-Makerere University, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Inclusive Green Economy- Uganda Program of the EfD Global-Hub, Sweden. He is a Fulbright Research Scholar in the Department of Agriculture, Food and Resource Economics, and a Non-Resident Researcher at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, Rutgers University in the United States. He is a Research Associate at the Public Economics and Environmental Research Centre, School of Economics, University of Johannesburg, Affiliate, Energy Access Project at Duke University-United States, a Water and Society (WaSo) Fellow of the NORHED Global Program, a former Master Card Foundation (Matasa) Fellow, former Guest Scholar at the Nordic Africa Institute, Sweden, and a former Visiting WaSo Fellow at the University of Bergen, Norway. He is a Member of the African Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AfAERE), the Sustainable Energy Transitions Initiative (SETI) research network, Uganda Economics Association (UEA), the Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), the Global Development Network (GDNet) and the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC). He holds a Ph.D. Economics degree of the University of Pretoria.
