Patrick Ward joined IFPRI as a postdoctoral fellow in the Environment and Production Technology Division in 2012. He is based in the New Delhi office, from where he contributes to the ongoing work of the Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia (CSISA). His research primarily focuses on policy and behavioral issues related to new agricultural technologies and practices to promote the sustainable intensification of cereal systems in the Indo-Gangetic plains of South Asia. He earned a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University in 2011 with a specialization in international development. Prior to joining IFPRI, Patrick was a visiting researcher with the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG) in Venice, Italy.
