Prottoy Akbar is an applied microeconomist with research interests in Urban, Transportation and Development Economics. In particular, his work focuses on the costs of urban travel and the sorting of people and activity across space. In the process, his research often leverages publicly available data sources to generate novel first-order insights on important but data-sparse settings.
