Raül Santaeulàlia-Llopis is an assistant professor at MOVE and UAB and an affiliated professor of the Barcelona GSE. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, a M.Sc. in Economics from the University College London, and a BA in Economics from Universitat de València.
Raül's background is in quantitative macroeconomics and his research focuses on growth and development. He is currently interested on the relation between social insurance and aggregate productivity. A large part of his work focuses on inequality and macroeconomics and studies the short- and long-run behavior of labor share and its linkages with innovation. He has investigated the effects of AIDS on aggregate development, and the relationship between education, risky sex, and HIV.
