Román David Zárate is an economist at the Trade and Integration unit of the World Bank’s Development Research Group (DEC-RG). He received a PhD in Economics from UC Berkeley. His research interests are in international trade, urban economics, and development economics, with a main focus on how different forms of market integration impact aggregate welfare and productivity in developing countries.
