Prof. Samuel Wangwe holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Statistics, Masters degree in Economics, and Doctoral degree in Economics from the University of Dar-es-Salaam. He has over 40-years experience as an economist, policy researcher and policy analyst, and economic advisor to the Government of Tanzania.  He has authored/coauthored/edited 15 books on development and economic management and over 80 published articles in journals and edited books.

Currently he is a consultant and Chairman at Daima Associates and is Principal Research Associate with ESRF and REPOA.
