Swati Dhingra is Associate Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics, and an Associate of the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE. She is currently an External Member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England. Swati is Director of The Royal Mint Museum, the Institute for Fiscal Studies, The Royal Economic Society and The Review of Economic Studies. Recently, she has been a member of the UK’s Trade Modelling Review Expert Panel, the Steering Group for the Economy 2030 Inquiry and the LSE’s Economic Diplomacy Commission. Swati graduated from the University of Delhi and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Princeton University. Her research has been published in journals including the American Economic Review and Journal of Political Economy, and funded by institutions including ESRC, ERC, IGC and UKRI. Her work was awarded the ONS‘s Research Excellence People’s Choice Award 2019.
