Uzziel Ngagijimana

Dr. Uzziel NDAGIJIMANA is the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health. As the Permanent Secretary, he acts as a Coordinator of all Technical and Administrative Functions of the Ministry of Health; He coordinates all Units, Departments and Partners in Health Sector and he leads implementation of Policies, Strategies and Programmes of the Government of Rwanda for the Health Sector.

Before joining the Ministry of Health, he worked in Higher Education Sector, as a lecturer and researcher in the Faculty of Economics and Management at the National University of Rwanda.

Dr. Uzziel NDAGIJIMANA has also an extensive experience in the management of Higher learning institutions:

He was the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economies and management at the National University of Rwanda (2000-2002), the Rector of the School of Finance and Banking (2002 – 2007) and the Vice Rector in charge of Administration and Finance of the National University of Rwanda (2007-2011) Dr Uzziel NDAGIJIMANA has been a member of several Boards of Directors: Central bank of Rwanda; Students Financing Agency for Rwanda; National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda; Prime Holdings SA; School of Finance and Banking; National University of Rwanda.
