William holds a Ph.D. from the University Paris, Sorbonne. He wrote his dissertation on the analysis of credit demand and the evaluation of policies improving access to credit in three countries: Serbia, Brazil and Morocco, where he worked before joining J-PAL in 2006. His current research focuses on access to credit, poverty, and health issues. He is currently working on several randomized evaluations in Morocco, Pakistan and France.
